Search Manager

ATG is looking for an experienced, responsible, knowledgeable manager to lead one of our core departments. In addition to managing Search Department operations, product delivery, and customer service, this individual will also be responsible for achieving staff adherence to company vision, values, and policies.

Search Department

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Selects , trains, directs, and evaluates personnel assigned to the Search Department.
  • Evaluates departmental operations and procedures; makes recommendations for modifications.
  • Documents processes for production, quality control, and escalation.
  • Provides analysis and documentation of departmental production and performance.
  • Manages and evaluates efficiency and cost effectiveness of vendor relationships.
  • Handles complex and problem files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Position Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of title search procedures, programs, and databases.
  • Thorough understanding of title insurance and real estate conveyance procedures.
  • Knowledge of department workflows, procedures, personnel, and overall job requirements.
  • Ability to document and process job duties of all department staff.
  • Ability to build relationships and support a diverse and demanding customer base.
  • Ability to make routine and difficult decisions.
  • Skills required for operations evaluation, employee evaluation, change management, planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage under pressure with accelerated deadlines in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Above average computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, REsource®, ResWare, and other ATG programs.
  • Ability to work overtime as business demands require.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • A four year degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years of proven managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Three years of title insurance and real estate experience.
