Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Performs consultations and prepares reports regarding members' compliance with ATG regulations and procedures for policy issuance, premium receipts, handling of escrow funds, maintenance of real estate closing escrow accounts, and compliance with acceptable escrow procedures.
  • Reviews transactions as required to substantiate the adequacy of internal controls and adherence to title industry best practices.
  • Ensures policy issuance complies with federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Prepares clear, concise consultation reports that include identification of potential risks and deficiencies and recommend remediation solutions for use by ATG management.
  • Follows up with members to ensure future compliance with issues identified during consultations.
  • Reviews members' accounts receivable statements and provides collection efforts as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of the title insurance industry and its practices.
  • Ability to identify mishandling of escrow funds while reviewing escrow accounts and reconciliation reports.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate key risk factors.
  • Ability to handle diverse member/agent base.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Ability to make time for unplanned assignments and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior-level management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with compressed deadlines.
  • Frequent day travel and some overnight travel to perform consultations in Illinois and Wisconsin. Travel expectation is approximately 50%, with the majority being day travel.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile, and auto insurance.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or other relevant field.
  • Two years of audit experience in the title industry field strongly preferred.
